The Foundation invests and manages the endowed professorships and chairs program, including Board of Regents Support Fund (BORSF) matching gift funds. A portion of the interest earned from investments is used to supplement the salaries of distinguished professors and eminent scholars of the University. The Foundation invests and maintains these funds, which are designated for faculty research, publications, educational travel expenses and professional enrichment. Additionally, the Foundation sponsors the Distinguished Professorship Awards Banquet, which annually recognizes three outstanding professors and one outstanding teacher of the University selected by their colleagues. |
