UL Lafayette Alumni Ashley Thibodeaux is the winner of the first scooter raffle sponsored by the Student Government Association. Her father, Dwayne Thibodeaux had purchased tickets for each of his children at the Lafayette Utilities System office.

Ashley graduated from UL two years ago with a degree in Education. Although she does not have a motorcycle license, her mother plans on getting one and driving the two of them to baseball games on the scooter.

"We have a golf cart that is painted in UL colors and has the Ragin' Cajun logo," said Dwayne Thibodeaux. "Now when we go camping, we will be able to take our UL golf cart and UL Scooter and show our support for our University."

Cruzzers of Abbeville, Mr. Leonard Hanford owner, generously donated the scooter for SGA as a campus fundraising project. All money raised from the raffle will go towards beautification of the UL quadrangle.
