The UL Lafayette Foundation hosts two annual events per year. One to honor our Distinguished Donors, and the other to honor the University's Eminent Faculty.

Distinguished Donors

The annual Distinguished Donors reception celebrates all donors who have contributed $10,000 or more to the University and formally recognizes the businesses, alumni, and friends generously gifting $50,000 or more or pledged $100,000 or more in support of the University’s academic and athletics programs. Individuals and corporations who have established an endowment of $50,000 or more or pledged $100,000 or more are inducted into the Hall of Honor, a tradition established by Alfred Lamson in the 1980's to commemorate donor contributions to higher education and research.

Eminent Faculty Awards

The Eminent Faculty Awards is a tradition of recognizing excellence. The first Distinguished Professor Award was established in 1965 in an effort to recognize faculty for their research, teaching effectiveness, and contributions to their profession and campus life. Five UL faculty are now recognized for their primary roles as educators: research, teaching, and service learning outreach. Each recipient is awarded a $5,000 stipend and featured in a beautiful and engaging video highlighting their accomplishments.
