The UL Lafayette Foundation hosts two annual events per year. One to honor our Distinguished Donors, and the other to honor the University's Eminent Faculty.

Distinguished Donors

The Distinguished Donors Celebration is hosted annually by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Foundation Board of Trustees. The celebration honors the businesses, alumni, and friends gifting $50,000 or more or pledging gifts of $100,000 or more to the University in the last year. Those bestowing gifts at the $25,000 level will also be recognized at the event. Gifts directly contribute to the success of the University, faculty, students, and community. Support and loyalty from donors significantly impacts and inspires academic and research excellence, athletic distinction, and the Ragin’ Cajuns® tradition.

Eminent Faculty Awards

The Eminent Faculty Awards is a tradition of recognizing excellence. The first Distinguished Professor Award was established in 1965 in an effort to recognize faculty for their research, teaching effectiveness, and contributions to their profession and campus life. Five UL faculty are now recognized for their primary roles as educators: research, teaching, and service learning outreach. Each recipient is awarded a $5,000 stipend and featured in a beautiful and engaging video highlighting their accomplishments.
